Doerle Food Service began servicing the Energy & Marine Industry 50 years ago with a contract to service all Teledyne Moveable Offshore Drilling Rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. In 1975, Doerle's began providing groceries to Gulf Coast Catering, Paul Doerle Sr.'s, Offshore Catering Company. From there, Doerle's expanded business to include numerous drilling contractors, seismograph companies, Quarter boat operators, Pipe-lay barges, production companies, workboats etc.Doerle's has expanded Energy & Marine Operations even further, having opened a second location in Port Fourchon, Louisiana. "We are the only grocery supplier actually located at Port Fourchon", according to Jay Boatright, a veteran of 30 years as a Doerle Team Member and currently General Manager of the Port Fourchon Operation.
